Moon and Venus

Moon and Venus: This image was captured with the camera hand-held looking out over the Coral Sea. A waning crescent moon (rising) and Venus are clearly visible in the sky as this image was captured 28 minutes before dawn (1/50 sec at f/2.8, ISO 3,200). Minimal editing includes 50% Luminance and Color noise reduction and the Smoothness slider set to 80 in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5. None of these noise adjustments would probably be necessary in a documentary/photojournalism shot where there is an absence of smooth continuous tones.
