1 Day or 1/2 Day Sony Alpha Creative Seminars

Join Mark Galer, for a full-day or half day creative photography seminar in a location near you. These seminars will provide you with the essential skills to capture creative images with ease. You will learn the optimum camera settings of your interchangeable lens camera for a variety of different shooting scenarios. These skills will then enable you to creatively change the visual outcome to best suit the subject you are capturing.

Mark will walk you through, step-by-step, how to set up the camera for each shoot and then give you a wealth of invaluable tips and techniques to get the best visual outcome from your subject.

In these illuminating talks, Mark draws from his extensive experience of over 40 years as a professional photographer. He has been an educator for over 30 years and is a former Program Director of Photography at RMIT University. He has written dozens of books for the International publisher Focal Press and hundreds of photographic articles that have appeared in numerous publications around the world.

For those photographers who are starting to explore the moving image Mark will also be introducing the essential skills required to capture professional quality movie clips.

Mark will also discuss the camera accessories that he believes really make a difference to his own personal photography and also post-production image editing tips and techniques that help him extract the best possible visual outcome for each and every image captured. As well as being an Alpha Ambassador, Mark was also an Adobe Photoshop Ambassador for Australia and has 30 years experience as a leading educator in image-editing to share at these seminars.

Typical Full-Day Seminar Schedule

  • Mark will present four 1-Hour Sessions + two 15-minute Q&A sessions.
  • Start time is typically 10.00 am and the seminar will end at approximately 4.00 pm with a 45-minute break for lunch and a 15-minute break coffee break.

Typical Half-Day Seminar Schedule

  • Mark will present two 75-minute sessions + one Q&A session.
  • Start time is typically 10.00 am and the seminar will end at approximately 4.00 pm with a 45-minute break for lunch.

He was Program Director of the BA photography program at RMIT University and has published thirty books for the international publisher Focal Press.
