The HDR or Tonal Mapping treatment, or ‘look’, is all the rage at the moment. Detail and surface texture is expanded along with midtone contrast. The final effect is one where the image seems to be part photograph/part illustration. This action allows you to achieve the effect with just a single click.

The action set allows the user to choose from a range of ‘strength’ settings and can be played on single or multi-layered files. The action records a snapshot in the History panel as the first step, and this allows the user to ‘undo’ the action with a single click if required.
