Setting up Memory Recall on a Sony Alpha Camera allows you to quickly access saved camera settings. This allows you to switch between the optimum camera settings for very different genres of photography, e.g. shooting movies and action/wildlife and then switching to recording movies by just turning the Shooting Mode dial one click.
