Sony’s AF Area Registration allows the user to register a focus area and then quickly switch or toggle between the focus area you have registered and your previous focus area, e.g. quickly switch between a wide focus area and a spot focus area. This video shows you how to set up the option and also some suggestions as to how to leverage the best outcomes when using this workflow. I also suggest an alternative workflow that some photographers may prefer to use.
