Develop: Editing Images with Extreme Contrast

Images captured in high contrast lighting situations do not usually reflect what the photographer’s eyes saw at the time the photograph was taken. In this tutorial, we restore the natural contrast in an image using Adobe Lightroom, and in so doing, recreate the emotional and dramatic impact of the original scene.
This tutorial demonstrates the advantage of shooting in the Raw file format and also the techniques requires to restore highlight and shadow detail in high contrast situations and the contrast to images that are excessively flat (low contrast).
