Format: HD Movie Duration: 17 Minutes Software: Adobe Lightroom Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
This movie tutorial takes you through the steps to first optimise an image and then grade it using the Split Toning panel. This popular technique for adjusting the colour palette of the original image is used across the movie and editorial/advertising industries in order to let colour control the mood that the photographer/cinematographer want to convey.
The original image was captured with the Mark Galer’s first Sony mirrorless camera (an NEX7) using the SEL1855 kit lens. The Raw files showcases the huge dynamic range of Sony’s sensors. The Raw file can be downloaded here: Railway-Bridge.dng
