Custom Settings for Portraiture

When setting up my Sony Alpha Camera to capture portrait images I typically choose Aperture Priority and a Focal length of 70 to 90 mm (50-60 mm on an APS-C sensor). I would also open up to F4 or wider when using a full frame sensor of f/2.8 or wider when using an APS-C sensor. I also choose custom settings that optimise the task of capturing images with shallow depth of field easier. I have made a movie tutorial that outlines these settings. These settings can be stored in the memory presets for if you need to access this group of settings in a hurry. These are the settings I will be using with my workshop participants when we head out for the first portrait shoot of the weekend workshop (models provided). https://www.markgaler.com/sony-alpha-creative-workshops
