MarkGaler.com has been going since Feb 2006, it started life as a very basic iWeb site to announce talks and seminars Mark was doing around Australia. Gradually it expanded it include resources for Mark’s numerous publications, eventually growing into a blog where he could share thoughts and tips about Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, photography, and retouching. Since then it has steadily grown thanks to the support of the thousands of visitors we receive each month.
The blog allows Mark to share insights and tutorials about products without having to wait to write a book about something he was excited about. It’s also a great way for him to stay connected with his many clients, professional colleagues, and students across the world.
The site has gradually became a resource for people to learn about image retouching through easy step-by-step tutorials. Now, with the amazing range of Photoshop actions available on the site, users don’t necessarily have to master Photoshop in order to create stunning images—this gives Mark a lot of satisfaction, and is an offshoot of his love of sharing everything.
Since 2012, Mark was joined by his co-author Dr. Abhijit Chattaraj as a contributor to the site.
